On November 12 the Big Bend Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) will honor individuals whose remarkable vision, generosity, commitment, dedication, and talent have enhanced the strength and effectiveness of philanthropic endeavors in the Big Bend Region.  We also invite you to honor your own philanthropist or volunteers at the luncheon

Julia Munroe Woodward will be recognized as the first recipient of the Lifetime Achievement in Philanthropy Award for her generous support of charitable, civic and academic organizations. The lives she has touched with her "Giving Heart" is immeasurable.

Daryl D. Parks, Esq and Benjamin L. Crum, Esq will be honored as the 2008 Philanthropists of the Year. These partners in law are also partners of the community.  Individually they serve on a variety of boards including the FAMU Board of Trustees, FAMU Foundation, Big Bend Fair Housing Center, National Bar Association and the Tallahassee Boys Choir.  Together they support academics and legal representation and fair housing for all. 

Awards for Outstanding Fundraising Professional, Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy, and Media Personality will also be presented.
